- Engineering Thermodynamics
- Mechanics of Fluids
- Mechanics of Solids
- Computational Continuum Mechanics
- Process Control
- Fracture Mechanics
- Manufacturing Engineering.
Owen completed his thesis project titled ‘How black is black coffee? Estimating the carbon footprint of your daily brew’.
This project, in collaboration with Macro Beverage Systems Ltd., established a verifiable, evidence-based, “crop to cup” methodology for determining the carbon footprint of coffee.
Owen also completed an ‘Energy Systems and Climate Change’ project where he researched the potential of offshore wind farms in achieving the CAP 2021 goals. He was also involved in analysing green hydrogen production and Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) and their suitability to the Irish market.
Now the next chapter begins!
Owen is already assisting with some of our top clients and working alongside our Project Managers as he hits the ground running. For more information on Owen visit our team page and click on his profile or follow the link.
