We provide our Clients with a full suite of consulting engineering services to progress your project from the initial advisory report, through to construction phase, typically including the following stages. We oversee and create conceptual designs and detailed designs as a part of our Engineering Design Service.
Once the project brief has been fully understood and research has been conducted leading to acceptable process solutions and options, conceptual design then begins. Conceptual design is the very first stage of the product design process, using outline drawings, illustrations or models, in order to provide you, the Client with an understanding of the proposed function of the process or project, this is the first stage in creating site-specific solutions or systems for each individual project.
Once the initial concepts and alternatives have been reviewed, and agreed, as above, the next stage is to develop the design and initial engineering concepts. Many engineering disciplines now become engaged, such as civil and structural, process elaboration, mechanical and electrical, and automation and control systems.
Detailed design is the next stage and is at this stage in which designs are improved and when plans, specifications, procurement plans and estimates are created. Detailed design usually includes 2D and 3D models and is an iterative process. Our Design Office utilises up to date AutoCAD intelligent PID and Plant 3D CAD/CAE platforms compatible with BIM requirement in developing the designs.
Built on the familiar AutoCAD® software platform, AutoCAD P&ID and AutoCAD Plant 3D bring modern design to plant designers and engineers. AutoCAD intelligent P&ID software allows us to create, modify, and manage schematic piping and instrumentation diagrams, backed up by automatically produced equipment, valves, piping and instrumentation schedules. Enabling our CAD Department conduct value engineering processes saving time and money for our clients, while also allowing flexibility to customise drawings accordingly.
3D Modelling and Drawings
AutoCAD Plant 3D adds 3D models, including piping, equipment, support structures, including the generation of isometric, and orthographic drawings. AutoCAD Plant 3D includes the features of AutoCAD P&ID.
Based on this platform the Client is fully engaged in the process, enabling early review and modifications as necessary, based on the 3D models accompanying the PID’s and 2D plans and layouts.
Project Planning and Scheduling
WEW Engineering utilises up to date scheduling and planning software, which allied to our experienced Project Managers and Engineers, enables us to provide fully adaptive and current project resourcing and scheduling services.
We provide Procurement Services (Specifications and Tender Documents), negotiating the best possible equipment for specific project purposes from our network of approved Vendors and suppliers. We also prepare full tender documentation including specifications, drawings, and cost schedules, enabling cost-effective tendering procedures, including tender assessment and recommendations.
