Umut has a Bachelors Degree (B.Eng.) in Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Environmental Engineering.
Umut is a project and process engineer who has been working in the field of water and wastewater. Umut has a passion for protecting the environment and has dedicated his career to improving water quality using new and emerging technologies. Umut has worked in Turkey, Lithuania, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and Norway on many different types of industrial water and wastewater projects from design to on-site commissioning of treatment plants. He has a broad-based knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design, specializing in MBR, RO, chemical treatment and advanced oxidation processes. Umut is able to use modelling and simulation software such as SUMO, WAVE and engineering software autoCAD and Lumion. His Master’s Degree thesis related to developing a decision-making software to evaluate the best treatment technologies among the alternatives. He has provided specialist services in industries such as textiles, copper mine, boron mine, leachate, meat and fish farming. He is now centrally involved in WEW Engineering in process design for systems servicing the biopharma industry, milk industry, brewing and distilling industry and day to day water and wastewater and solids handling processes.
